We live in a time where we can use Google to learn how to do almost anything. Property buyers and sellers are very savvy consumers today so many traverse the intricacies of buying and/or selling real estate on their own. I equate representing yourself in a real estate transaction to a woman delivering her own baby. She can certainly do it herself but is that really her best option? I'd dare to say that you answered, "ABSOLUTELY NOT"!
It's true that the real estate industry has drastically changed. Real estate agents are no longer the primary means of finding a property for a buyer nor a buyer for a property. But, it's important that to accept the fact that although a layman can attempt a professionals discipline, doing so makes more opportunity for the transaction to result in a lawsuit (legal dispute). Overall, lawsuit or no lawsuit, according to National Association of Realtors, working without an agent results in more time, trouble and money.
While I do help my clients locate properties and meticulously lead them throughout the entire transaction, my clients benefit the most from my mastered skills of Negotiation and Saving Them Money! It's always my goal to close the sale with my clients feeling like a WINNER.
